  1. Thank you both, i think i'm addicted or something... or even worse i'm infected by the Ears virus...
  2. Dude, Ears where r you, may be you are the only one who can answer me.
  3. Whitewolf, the Kefs are really fine speakers they sounds very much like B&W and Linn etc... and for the price that you are getting them they do seem like a bargain because here in Australia they are about $18000 a pair. The retailer where i bought my RF 7 carry them too, for music I think they sounded better than the RF 7s, a bit more refined, then again they were using Halcro amps and some other expensive stuffs that cost around $50000 all together. The klipsch where only displayed with Denon and Rotel stuffs and i prefered them for Movies. I was not even thinking about listening to the KEF's because they are out of my league. I heard them when other people asked for a listen. And remember if you decide to buy them and want to use them for HT you will need the dedicated center 204 c or the 202 c with also cost a fortune and good amp and receiver/ dvd'/?s playas etc..
  4. Hey guys, i am already happy with my Sigs and EarthQs but was just wondering what does the SVS B4 plus sounds like? The only way i could get them is if i buy them online and get them shipped overseas so there is no way i was gonna send them back if i don't like them. Does it have room EQ like the Sunfire sigs because my room is quite small? And also i was thinking of getting them with the whole lot, whatever there is in the package (Amp, eq, cable and craps). Please if there is anyone who have listened to them and also listened to the sunfires, give me feedback and opinions.
  5. The RSX's would be a good start, get a good cheap sub and 2 RSX 5. Get a very cheap yamaha 5.1 receiver 60 - 70 watts per channel. Then in a couple of months or so whenever you have the cash add the center RCX 4 and the rears could be RSX 5's or even RSX 4. Here you go a nice Reference setup. They are probably the best in their price range.
  6. Best thing to do is to test all 4 subs in your own room, it's very rare to find a dealer that would do that for you, but every subs behaves very differently with your room's acoustics. I haven;t listened to any SVS yet, i've heard a lot of good stuffs about them here on the klipsch forum. That's where i first heard about them. While i've listened to the Klipsch's and the ML Descent, i'd deffinitely choose it over the RSW. It's less boomier and has a very flat respond. I reckon you need 2 subs anyway. One for music and the other for movies.
  7. The Martin Logan's are some amazing subs, i've listened to both the Depth and the Descent, I really liked both, they are extremely tight and fast, that was the only sub where i just could not tell where the bass was coming from. You wouldn't know if the sub was working at all, i could just see the woofers working very fast, until it was switched off then i could tell the difference. It just fill the room with soft vibration make the music fuller. They are quite good for movies but nothing like the RSW 15 or Earthquakes and Sunfire sig. They are still amazing subs though. If i have some spare cash i'd definitely get them just for their very clean and neutral bass.
  8. Yeah and well done Klipsch, yeah you got me addicted to your brand and speakers now. They sound too good, you'd only realise it even more when you see your friends jaw-dropped one after another (some are bose dreamers, some who believe that bose is the ultimate). When you tell them to sit down, and relax get "confi" and you already selected a few good scenes like just before the bomb fell on the ship in Pearl Harbour , jurassic park when the big momma shouts and you put the volume to 0db on the Denon 3805's and i must say that the Sunfire sigs and the Earthquakes did their jobs too they were hidden. And """BANG""" you shake the whole building, there is 30 apartments in my building and yeah shake the whole building, pretty nasty i am. When leaving my house some were left traumatised for life by klipsch and asked me over the phone "hey how do we write that brand again". I say oh Klipsch. Okay welcome to the family. Believe it or not all of these people have listened to many other good brand like B&W, Canton, JM Labs etc.. whatever there is at the dealers and were all impressed by how tiny bose were and thought were big sound. Whyyyy??? But not anymore Su*k**s. I like freaking these people. Don't think me bad Klipshers it's just that i was having a conversation at work and i mentioned that i just bought some new speakers and one of them said what is it, ( they did not had a clue) the were big mouths, i'm a very quiet type at work. They started praising Bose how so amazing and i got sick of it and decided to bring them home to shut them up.
  9. Dude First, those Premiere look awesome!!! and.. Ziad, Dude, those Klipsch THX Ultra 2 could easily drive a real cinema with powerful mind blowing sound. Go listen and compare for yourself. Ziad trying to compare Bose to Nakamachi is fair, but don't try to compare them with Klipsch, it;s just an unfair advantage to klispch in sound quality build quality etc. They are for sure even be better than many "cinemas" out there that i know of. They are real home cinema speakers for the very demanding audience. For me my prefered setup would be 7.2 7x RF 7 instead. And a good room (underground "hehe" and speakers properly setup by professionals. None of the others speakers you mention could even come any close to that even if you don't have space go for the Cinema 10's. I've listened to the THX ultra 2, they are probably among the very best speaker in that price range and could even match speakers costing 2 to 4 time more. Bose nowadays can't even compete with the very low end sony's or aiwa etc..
  10. The RF 35 and the RF 5's are very similar, it's very hard to notice the difference, and 125 watts is a lot of power since the speakers are very sensitive, you'd be hurting your ears if you were using a 90 - 120w/c amp before you reach half way. The Tweeters are also very similar except the RF 5 have a bigger soundstage Rf 35 K-130-DN 1" (2.54cm) Titanium dome compression driver Rf 5 K-119-KB 1" (2.54cm) Titanium dome compression driver Rf 35 6" square 90°x60° Tractrix® Horn Rf 5 8" square 90°x60° Tractrix® Horn It's not worth the $1000 buxxx or me ... but the RF 7 on the other hand actually does worth the price difference according to me. The sound is completely different, you hear a few more details.
  11. Hey Aussie Dude, The RF 5's are a better match with the RC 7. If you want RC 7 then go for the RF 5 or RF 7 but if you want to save a few $$$ (like $2000+ if you are in australia) get the RF 35 and the RC35/ RC25 you wont be dissapointed. By the way are you aussie ?? I'm from melbourne and where are you planning to buy your system? RRP Australia Rf 7 $ 4599 Rf 5 $ 3099 Rf 35 $ 2099 RC 7 $ 1649 RC 35 $ 849 RC 25 $ 599

    Foams

Dude mine flaps around too, in the left it's deep inside against the woofers and the right it's near the port. Where is it better situated?? Do it need to push it in or try to pull the other one out??
  13. I have a very similar set up to what you were comparing to the THX Ultra 11 and i must say that i have spent a long time listening and thinkning about the price difference between the 2 system and thinking was the THX's really worth the extra bucks, Nah i did not thought so. I even added 2 Subs just to match the THX's and still saved a few bucks and i really believe my system was better than the THX's .. My configs is as shown below..
  14. Sold one pair of RF 35, gave him the RC 35 as a present for paying the price that they were bought. Got rid of the Marantz's... bought the Denons instead, and a nice pair of RF 7.....sweet. Also got the Sunfire signature Eq and the Earthquakes 12", all for a reasonable price. System complete, i am satisfied. Thanks to Ears and everybody for helping on my decision.
  15. But I did not see any biwiring with bose when will they decide to biwire their acoustimas or lifestyle ??
  16. Thank you very much Ears, Respectable King of Subs, thats exactly what i wanted to hear and was only waiting you hear it from you to confirm what i really wanted to buy. We are very lucky to actually can contact someone like you when having to deal with any question regarding subs. I admire you passion about them. Sunfire Sigs is the way to go.
  17. By the way i'm pairing them with 2 pairs of RF 35 and RC 35, Marantz SR-5400 and Marantz DV-8400
  18. Is it worth the wait to save up a bit more to buy the Sigs, will i be missing anything if i get the earthquakes instead? The reason i'm thinking , the Earthquakes is somewhat big. I know the Earthquakes is not so musical and need to be set very low, for movies i know they are excellent, how about the Sunfires, how does it compare? I've listened to both seperately and like them both especially the sunfires for size and output.
  19. Have anyone heard the JM Focal Labs Electra lines? Are they anygood? How do they compare to Paradigm or Dynaudio? What would you guys recommend for fronts in the $4000 - $5000 budget. The sub i'd be using will be the Sunfire Signature EQ, and i'm not sure about the rest of the components yet...
  20. Hi everybody, I'm planning on upgrading my multimedia speakers to something still cheap but not "PC" speakers, I've was thinking RSX 5's, Earthquakes supernova 12 instead of the RW 10 sub and a cheap Marantz 5.1 100w/ch receiver. Would the Earthquakes be a good match with the rsx 5's? What do you think? What about the crossover settings? Anyone got any hints and sujestions.. please let me know. The Ears valuable inputs would be most welcome if your here dude..
  21. I think everybody need to be able to say they want, the bigger the forum the more it will resemble society and what society have to offer. You will meet all kind of people with different characters and opinions. Some are funny, some stupid, some intelligient, "nasty", some silent, "freaks", some argumentative, criminals, egotistical and you name it... may be even osama, mike tyson, buddist, scientologist, christians, "vampires" or marsians etc.. and we all need to live together. Yeah i know. But the tradition old fashion way of just shutting someone up, does not work anymore. It makes people angry and create persistance. You'd need a different approach nowadays. And i think you have a big job in your hands Amy and it should be an adventure to handle it. But don't just close topics please..
  22. $10000 that's quite expensive.... but i'm sure they would be very good for movies certainly. And If they were a bit cheaper like $5k - $6k i might even consider adding them to my wish list.
  23. The CEO and top executive wants too much money and they can only acheive that by cutting down on labour cost, it's so simple. I work for a telecommunication company as a Junior Engineer I earn about $50K year our CEO makes $10 million+ plus bonus (In Shares 1-5 million/year), the company is still making 5 billion profit a year and guess how. All the staff are from overseas, head quarters is in India Bangalore, Softwares are not made in Australia anymore, Customer Service is in Philipines somewhere.... bla bla bla... Less and less staffs employed here, more works less staffs... bla bla bla..
