  1. Rick,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I absolutely dread the day when our dogs pass. We just had one of ours in to remove a tumor. We haven't received the lab results to know if they got it all, but she is doing well. I was really nervous when we found out about the tumor. It sounds like your dog received a lot of love and care.

  2. Replays showed DiMarco's ball starting to roll before Tiger's tee shot hit the green, but it sure did wait a long time before moving. DiMarco should have sprinted up there and marked it! What a great tournament! The Masters has always been my favorite tournament and this one was as good as any. DiMarco deserves credit for battling all day long and almost chipping in on 18 to take the title.

I'll tell you one thing I hate about it. The binding posts. No option but bare wire. I plan to cut that collar down to nothing for the roadshow unit, and the other as well. It took some wrassling to get even the vintage-sized spades in there.

The binding posts on the Teac accept banana plugs.

  4. I'm liking the CD more the more that I listen to it also. I've mentioned this before in "Concert DVD" threads, but I highly recommend the "Billy Idol, VH1 Storytellers" DVD. It seems hard to find, but is an excellent performance and has excellent audio quality.

  5. Last year, our session in the Heritage room was short and interupted by trouble getting a SACD to play in the CD player. The main thing that I wanted to experience was listening to a pair of Klipschorns for the first time. I still want a good demo. I heard that one of the other groups had a great demo of the the KHorns playing a selection from The Planets.

The Drumline demo in the THX Ultra 2 room was the most impressive thing that I remember. I would like to experience that again.

A chance to listen to some of the new Premiere line would be awesome!

Trey previously mentioned a test where the speakers were hidden behind a curtain. That sounds interesting.

  6. I was impressed with the Teac. I hooked it up the first night and listened to a few CDs. It's hard to A/B amps due to having to swith speaker wires and interconnects, but I thought it was real comparable to my Rotel RB-1080. I have been letting it run during the day to give it some break in hours (supposedly it improves after about 80 hours) and will remove the center channel board (suppose to improve performance) and then give it another listen soon.

  7. After reading some threads about the Sonic Impact digital amp with the Tripath chip in it, I ordered one to hear for myself. While it was back-ordered, I read about and ordered the Teac AL700P amp (Tripath chip). I have had the Teac amp for about a week and a half now. This week, the Sonic Impact was delivered. I don't really need to play with both of these, so I am selling the never used Sonic Impact and never used SLA battery (recommended power source). It looks like the amp is out of stock again at Parts Express.

    Sonic Impact amp:

    SLA Battery:

Selling for $55 delivered in the continental US. Paypal is accepted.

  8. Michael,

Are these the "older" style of Coaster seats? I am going to tell a couple of friends, but I want to make sure that I am telling them the right chairs. I have the "newer" style and they are great. I have never sat in the older style.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  9. One of my favorites, Billy Idol VH1 Storytellers. Billy is excellent. Steve Stevens is awesome. Performed in a small club. Great song list. Entertaining introductions to the songs (which can be skipped automatically). DTS soundtrack.

  10. The HT seats are made by Coaster. I believe the model number is 7563 and is similar to the Berkline 090 model. I ordered them from a company near Atlanta, but I don't remember the name. They were selling them on ebay. I called them and they sold them to me over the phone for the same price as their opening ebay bid. Coaster made a previous model that were not as wide and not liked as much as their newer model. I really like mine.

I just read on the AVS Forum that the Berkline Outlet is having another one of the sales. They apparently have these a couple of times a year and have awesome prices. I guess it is March 22 and powered Berkline 090s will be $399 each.
