  1. Thanks Andy. I have my doubts too, hopefully the screws show up.
  2. Can someone please tell me the battery type that the ifi remote uses? I removed mine so I could replace it and lost it. Also the screws have been lost with the battery, does anyone know the screw type/size? If not, I guess an hour on the knees at the hardware store will remedy things. Much Thanks, John
  3. I had a pair of bookshelf Boston HD-10 cabinets laying around before and did a DIY job on them using the RF-7 drivers. Unfortunately, they suffered a fall a while back and the driver went flying out of the cabinet. the screws ripped right thru the wood. The drivers dustcap had a major dent in it and the cone was rippled. i tried the tap and vacuam method, but neither helped so i took a wooden spoon handle and inserted it thru the back of drivers pole piece vent and gentley pushed out the dent. its barely noticeable now but the rippled cone is hard to deal with so i usually keep the grills on.
  4. thanks you guys, you've given me much of the help i needed. i think i'll look into finding a place that test t/s specs. i didn't realize klipsch had eqs built into their amps. does anyone know if the kw-12-thx and rsw12 drivers are the same?
  5. i have the RSW12 active driver and want to build a RSW12 clone. could you guys help me getting the T-S parameters on the driver. if i can't get the specs i will probably just build a replica of the RSW12 but i will still need to get a passive radiator. how much do one of these cost. without the ts specs i will be forced to go with the klipsch PR or an specs equivalent. concerning the dimensions i found them on the klipsch site and was wondering if there are any baffles inside between the two drivers...are the 2 drivers just 180 degrees off each other. does klipsch usually stuff the walls of their enclosures with anything how thick is the MDF on the RSW12 sub...duplicating the exact dimensions will be important. thanks, -john email: Slider908@msn.com
  6. sorry i accidentally clicked twice and made a double post. please refer to the other thread. how do i delete this post...moderators please help
  7. i've been looking at subs for a while and was wondering what are the pro and cons of SVS's SS sub compared to the B4 plus? how do cylinders compare to cube subs overall. also how do you think the b4 plus to velodynes servo 18 inch monster. when the ports are plugged on the B4 does it have the exact transient response as a sealed sub. What kind of effieciency does it have. would i need a high power amp to bring out the best in the b4 i'm debating over servo woofers or SVS. i admit i am beggining to sway towards SVS especially after i saw their new prototype driver. thanks for the help, john
  8. where can i buy a infrasonic high pass (rumble) filter around 15hz? also i just purchased a pair of jbl 2235h and would like to know what the best box for it would be. i want deepsest extension and prefer sealed to ported thanks
  9. Well the Hd-10s are essentially a 2 way with a 6.5 midrange and a 1" soft dome tweeter and a 10" passive woofer. I would like to use the 1089s as a midrange and not a sub. I would like to extend my midrange and add a little quality punch to my system are the rf7s crossover a 2.2Khz 12db slope
  10. i recently acquired 2 k-1089 10" woofer and would like to use them in Boston Acoustics HD-10 or i may just build something around them. COuld someone tell me how i would optimize crossover setting etc. I would like to also get some Thiele-Small parameters and alot more specs on thems. How would i cross them in Hd-10s or is it better just to build something around them. Any ideas would be much appreciated. thank you, John
