  1. So it has been a few days, I am still very happy for my Steelers who have won dispite the so called "phantom" calls. And here is my response: 1) Seahawks outplayed them. I agree with you 100%, but you don't win games if you don't put up the points. 2) Seahawks did throw a few lemons. Some missed catches, a few bad passes. simply could have performed better at times. I agree, as did both teams, why the NFL has to use 108 brand new footballs, who knows?!?! 3) Steelers did make 3 huge "MAGNIFICIENT" plays. Give them serious props. Those were AWESOME I agree, and that was the difference in the game. The Hawks gave up 4 plays over 30 yards, unfortunatly it was only on those plays the Steelers did anything with the ball, yet it was enough. 4) I won't officially go on record saying that the officiating cost the Seahawks the superbowl, but I will say that it GREATLY affected the score and quit possibly outcome. I agree, but you can say that about every single game in the NFL. It is an opinion and perspective, everyone is entitled to it, but it doesn't mean it was right. The Officials in the NFL are horrible, but their calls didn't cost (as you mentioned) the Seahawks the game. Does it change momentum...without a doubt. 5) 7 points were absolutly taken away with that offensive pass interference call. The pass that stevens caught down to the 1 yard line, then the horrendous holding call that brought the ball back, that EASILY could be argued another 7 points for a total of 14. The first statement, I do not agree with. A WR can NEVER push off defending player to attempt to catch a ball. Especially right in front of an official, 9/10 the call would be made. Do I think that it was a late flag, yes. Holding is holding, never understood these calls, they miss them half the time and then call them very randomly and would probably give you the 7 points you are looking for, as I agree. I also did not think the Ben crossed the goal line. If the official would have called it no TD, there would have not been inconclusive evidence to turn that call over to a touch down, but it happened the other way. At a minimum the Steelers would have got three from a Field goal. Making the final score 17-17 (add your seven, minus my seven then add three)...who knows, Necter would have got is overtime Super Bowl, then the whole world would be complaining that overtime should be like the NCAA.... 6) I will congratulate the Steelers and the fans for brining home the trophy. Thank you, I appreciate it. Now I understand why you are highly regarding on this forum. Am I proud of the way the Steelers played, not at all, they got very, very lucky. They did enough to squeak by. However, they had a very tough road they had to go through to get there. Win out their last 4 games, and they played awesome against, Cincy, Indy, and Denver on the road. If they had to play NE on the road, it would have been a Seattle-NE Super Bowl. 7) Dispite my congratulations, in my heart and the hearts of many, I don't feel the Steelers won a fair game. Again, it is an opinion and perspective, everyone is entitled to it. They played like crap, but had 3 big plays and that was all they needed. PS... Seriously Steeler fans, no hard feelings from me. Non of this is pointed at you. No hard feelings taken and No hard feelings to any of the Seahawks fans, they are my second favorite team, and are better odds to get to the Super Bowl next year than the Steelers are. On a side note, if anyone is interested, they had the Super Bowl Champions Parade in Pittsburgh yesterday. Almost 300K attended, I was one of them and got some awesome pics. If there is an interest I will happy to post a few of them.
  2. Very nice choice... Wish it were time to upgrade...
  3. I'm now waiting for someone to complain that the commericals sucked as well....
  4. I would have been the first to congratulate you on a clean win. But, if you read that link I posted you will see that fans from across the NFL are just as upset of not more than us hawk fans. Look it's nothing personal between myself and you guys. I'm not upset with you. And I did.... Because you found 1 post on the officiating on this game you will complain because you team failed to put up points. (as you have the past two weeks, on the media, having the 2nd best record and not getting any recognition, no fan support in Detroit...the list goes on....). Look at the stats it was a very close game. Nothing against you, but I see a theme here. I am sure that your outlook would be different if the tables were turned, and Seattle would have won. Would mine, honestly...no. Why, because we (Steeler fans) have been seeing it for years! Commentators and analysts have always been against us. Not to mention that the Steelers played horrible the first half.
  5. You know what F-that! I have heard you Seattle fans complaining and crying for the past week! What were the bad call, the push off in the end zone for Seattle? Your nuts, that was a offensive pass interference call and it was the right call. The Rothisburger touchdown, it was very close, IMO I did not think that it was a TD, but it was reviewed and did not show indisputable evidence to turn the call over. It was reviewed and the call was made. The officals do suck, and they Steelers have seen it first hand throughout the playoffs. You rise above it, and continue to play hard. You don't cry because your team blew two field goals, and should have had two touchdowns but your recievers catch the ball out of bounds. You don't win games if you don't put up points. At half time, I honestly believed that the Steelers were not going to hold on. Their big playmakers did not show up, Ben threw 2 picks and no TD's. Other players on our team stepped it up, and came through. It was an exciting Super Bowl, Steelers played poorly, but put up points. Seattle played great but didn't put up the points. Pittsburgh had to win their last 4 games to just get in as the 6th seed in the playoffs. Beat the number 1, 2, and 3 teams on the road. Analyst said that Jacksonville who didn't even make the playoffs were the most comparable team to Seattle. Pittsburgh was the only team as a 6th seed to make it to the AFC Championship, the only 6th seed to win the championship, and the only 6th seed to ever win a Super Bowl. Give some credit when credit is due. Because your team failed to put up points, don't blame that on the officials.
  6. NOW THATS STEELERS FOOTBALL!!!! FREE WILLIE!!!!
  7. Alright m00n, Your teams looks very good! Our defense cannot get to Hasselbeck, our cornerbacks look horrible, we can't run and Big Ben needs to calm down. Seattle looks like they have been here before, very surprised Steelers are up 7-3. They should be down at least 3-13. Second have will be huge, Steelers better do something off the kickoff. This 3 and out crap isn't going to cut it! Best of luck in the second half! GO STEELERS!!!!!
  8. Yea about an hour before kickoff, I was very ancie...
  9. A tough decade, try a tough life. When was the last time Cleveland was in the Super Bowl? Feel bad for you guys, your city just sets you guys up for dissapointment year, after year, after year. They'll never make it to the big show....
  10. I doubt that 90% of the fans in Ford Field will be carring around "crying towels". Well see you in the 2nd quarter when the Steelers are up 21-0.
  11. m00n and all other Seahawks fans! The time has almost come, 2 weeks of waiting and pain are almost finally over! I wish you and your team the very best of luck, for a great XL Super Bowl, I hope all players stay healthy and provide a great game. May the best team (in Black and Gold) win!!! Best of Luck!!! GO STEELERS!!!! Any word on that storm that was heading your way? If you want PM me your cell phone, I will let you know each time the Steelers score!!!!
  12. Going to do some research and then repost. From my research (2 years ago) when I was looking to purchase an LCD or a Plasma, I remember coming across a illustration for Plasmas. If memory serves me correctly, I think a plasma will take 13 year to lose 1/2 its life if on for 8 hours a day. Biggest issues I remembering were "dead pixels" though.
  13. I wonder if it has been washed? Would that decrease the value? []
  14. Expected and very welcomed...just be prepared for it in return! Heck you have put up with my ranting for almost a month now! City of Pittsbrugh is going nuts here, everyone is in Black and Gold waving Terrible Towels. Happy Hours are happening everywhere tonight and through the weekend. It been the longest 2 weeks of my life!! Gotta run 4:00 PM...Let happy hour begin!!!! Here we go.....Steelers....Here we go! Pittsburghs going to the SUPER BOWL!!!!!
  15. m00n, Keep in mind Seattle was expected to walk to the Super Bowl throughout the playoffs, just like Chicago was suppose to walk to the playoffs because of their division. Second best record means something, it means that most people expected an Indy-Seattle Super Bowl all year. The fact that the Steelers are in it, changes everything and is more of a conversation peice. Honestly, with all the hype, media coverage, and all the trash talking set aside. I think it will be a very close game. Who ever wins it will be by 3 or 4 points. My biggest fear is that if Seattle goes on top early, say by 14 points, the Steelers will not catch them. They give up when they are down, and are not a come back team! If the Steelers can get ontop early, they have a great chance (this is what they did against, Indy and Denver) and they must contain Alexander. If they cannot contain Alexander the guy can average 2 TD's a quarter if pushed.... 2nd best record, MVP Running back, and led the leauge in fewest turnovers...all the stats mean something.
  16. In all honesty, the Steelers never show up when the media does this. All the hype and the Steelers never produce, they always fall short. Their confidence is sky high right now, and they don't feel the pressure, they are expected to win. In their minds they have nothing to prove, they think that they will just walk into the dome, show up and take the trophy home. I have seen it over the past 15 years, happen time and time again and it never works. The past 4 AFC Championship games they were favorites, and we all know what happened. This year, on the road as underdogs, they had something to prove. I sure hope these guys have their acts together, the way the media is portraying it, it seems like they alreay won the big show.... Not a good thing....
  17. There's a valid point, and I couldn't agree more. If their line protects Hasselbeck or holes open for Alexander we're in trouble. Yes we can stop Alexander, but probably not before he gains 5 yards per carry. Sure we got to E.James, and M.Andersen, but Alexander is a different beast. I will never forget that Monday night game last year and then that Sunday night game two years ago. Didn't this manic have something like 300 yards and 5 TD'S?? If the guy get loose it will be ugly...
  18. Those stats are a bit misleading due to Pittsburgh being one of two teams that played three games, although Pittsburgh's passing game has been at it's best this post-season. Looking at the regular season: Engram and Jurevicius combined for 122 receptions, 1472 yards, 13 TD Wilson and Randle El combined for 61 receptions, 1009 yards (very nice yards per catch), 1 TD Well if you really want to look at the regular season, I see the Seahawks are in a very poor NFC Conference. A horrible NFC West Division, where the two worst teams in the NFL stand Arizona and San Fran and we'll throw in St. Louis there as well. Those are six games where they should have and did put up large numbers. What matters is what you do in the post-season. I think beating the number 1, 2, and 3, teams (all on the road) who were all favored in someones book to win the Super Bowl is a pretty impressive accomplishment and speaks for it self. I'm not sure I missed those playoff games, did Pittsburgh dominate every single one of those playoff games? No doubt Engram and Jurevicius are both great receivers, both from Penn State and both are solid. They hovever have done nothing in the playoffs. Maybe because they played the number 5 and 6 seeds in the NFC and couldn't break free?
  19. It's pretty bad, when you know you have no legitimate weapons on the field, that you have to start pulling staws to come up with this one.... Let's see. The Seahawks have: MVP RB - Shaun Alexander Pro Bowl QB - Matt Hasselbeck Excellent WR - Darrel Jackson Solid WRs - Engram and Jurevicius Steelers have: Excellent WR - Hines Ward Overhyped mediocre QB - Roethlisberger Fat RB who averages about 3 yards per carry - Bettis Lousy remaining WRs Steelers do have excellent defense so they will keep it close. The Seahawks have: MVP RB - Shaun Alexander - Agreed Pro Bowl QB - Matt Hasselbeck - Agreed Excellent WR - Darrel Jackson - Agreed Solid WRs - Engram and Jurevicius Steelers have: Excellent WR - Hines Ward - Agreed Fat RB who averages about 3 yards per carry - Bettis - Agreed Overhyped mediocre QB - Roethlisberger Post Season Stats: Hasselback: QB Rating: 109.6 Passing Yards: 434 TD's: 3 Roethlisberger: QB Rating: 124.8 Passing Yards: 680 TD's: 7 Lousy remaining WRs Post Season Stats: 2. D.Jackson SEA 3. C.Wilson PIT 6. H. Ward PIT 12. A. Randel El PIT Sorry I missed wear Engram and Jurevicious were named in the top 30?? Thats right, we do have an excellent defense. And what wins championships?
  20. It's pretty bad, when you know you have no legitimate weapons on the field, that you have to start pulling staws to come up with this one.... It was joke factor man. Retract your claws. [] Thanks...I know. So you admit that you do not have any legitimate weapons on the field...[]
  21. It's pretty bad, when you know you have no legitimate weapons on the field, that you have to start pulling staws to come up with this one....
  22. And what was Porter's response.... "He's a first round bust, who plays half the time on special teams. I am not going to waste my time on him." Let's see if your boy Stevens can back up his big mouth. Or do you want me to start pulling out the statistics on why he can't and won't be able to back it up?
  23. m00n.... Ha, ha...glad to see the excitement setting in! But, do you seriously want to start this?
  24. Not sure why Portland doesn't have a team, they have the size and it is always voted as one of the best cities to live in every year since 2000. Property consistantly appreciates there each year, and it one of the most beautiful cities I have even been to. The Gorge, Columbia River and Mt. Hood, some of the most impressive sites to see in the US.
