  1. I agree with many on this board that Van Halen was no more after Roth left. I first saw Van Halen in Houston in 1979 after they released there first album, and saw them 3 more times until the early 80's when Roth left. Haven't bought a Van Halen album since. Even though Roth is an ego maniac he still made Van Halen. Benny
  2. I have a JBL 4638 and a SVS 20-39 PC+. The JBL really adds to the 30hz and above punch, but the SVS kicks but below that. I'm talking about window rattling bass. My KLF-30's are on small for movies and run by there selves when CD's are played..
  3. I also live in the Houston area and have Roadrunner from Time Warner. I have had it for about 5 months now and have had a few very brief outages. I absolutely love it, my download speeds are consistently 2000 kbps, and my upload speeds average about 350 kbps. I had dial-up for 7 years, but would never go back. Benny
  4. I have had a JBL 4638 for about a year now. In December I got the SVS-2039PC+. Before I got the SVS I was planning on getting rid of the JBL, but when I heard them together I decided to keep both. The JBL has plenty of punch, but of course can't match the SVS on the lowest frequencies. As stated before the SVS is awesome for movies, giving low frequency, wall shaking SPL with no problem. The SVS does good on music, but much better with movies. I think that is more of a factor of the frequencies of the music. The JBL can put out some awesome punch on music. Playing "Creeds" What If, the JBL 4638 rocks my whole house. The rest of my speakers ares Klipsch KLF-30's, KLFC-7 and JBL rears. Benny
