  1. "Front is Cornwall (all 3)"

HUH, when did THIS happen? Did you sneak into my garage last time you were here?

Thought you liked your LS/monitor combo????

    M

He never snuck in yet but he knows they are a garage full and when that person will be at work ! [:o]

  2. First choice: Quartet Mains with an Academy Center and Quartet Surrounds...

Second choice: Quartet Mains with an Academy Center and Heresy II Surrounds.

I have never heard Quartets or Heresy's in a HT.

My choice would be all the same if possible or an Academy for a center and the rest the same.

All Quartet's with a Academy center would sound great, don't forget any HT needs a sub to rattle the walls, no matter what speakers you use. IMHO

Not to sound like I want to ride the center of the fence I would love to hear all Hersey's an a Academy or just all Hersey's HT also.

Sorry to not be more decisive but I think both would sound great !

When I first decided to switch from the Synergy I had I was going to go all Hersey.

Then I was turned on to a pair of Forte ll's by " Fastlane " and thought about Quartets for rears, then I was given a chance to get a second pair of Forte ll's by " Michael C ", both pair were local . Then I found a pair of original Forte's by accident, also local.

So with much help and luck I am done with HT, unless I find some Forte ll's to replace the original fortes as rears .[:)] And a better sub, ok almost done with HT.

Good luck...., try not to mix any more models than you have to, unless it's the 2 legged ones !

  3. Michael your luck is not over you are due much more, after the house problem is settled, without hardly any problems, you will meet a lady in the next year or so, that would be more good news.

Just a guess / feeling, you have good things to come ! Your luck is changing !

  4. Last night we had some bad weather come through.

At about 2:30 am the electricity goes out, I light a couple of candles so if anyone gets up they can see a little.

I go back to sleep thinking it will be back on in a hour or two I get back up at 7:30 and still no power. We never called because all the phones are cordless and don't work without power to the base, and the cell phones don't work unless you drive a couple miles at least. I figured someone on our street would call and report it.

Wrong guess, we were the only ones without power.

The power company comes out and there is a fuse blown on the transformer at the top of the pole.

A 4' snake climbed up the pole and shorted it out and blew the fuse. I thought the man was BS'ing me but when I walked out to the pole there was a snake, somewhat crispy in spots at the bottom of the pole.

I guess the snake thought it was a tree ? We had that happen about 20 years ago with a squirrel, now with a snake.

I guess it's not that unusual, I thought it was !

  5. Kind of had the same problem with a Steve Winwood DVD, went through 3 with the same problems on each disk. " Soundstage production "

They were from B Buy, had to return the third one and get something else, they were getting upset with me returning this DVD . To bad it was a good concert, seen it on Rave but can't seem to own it.

  6. It's going to feel very strange to get up " every " morning to go to work !

There must be a minimum number of speakers you have to own to get hired at Klipsch.

Michael that last pair of Heresy's put you over the magic number, now you can be hired.

  7. Micheal, I'm about as far out in the sticks as you can get, and I even order wood. By the time you find someone that will let you cut wood on their property, cut the tree's down, delimb them, cut up into logs, haul those home, split the logs, stack the wood and wait a year for em to dry, it's worth the $125/cord to have someone bring em to the house already split and dry. All that's left is to stack em. We'll go through 2 cords this winter, so even just stacking it is a pain in the back. Literally.

I'm with ya there. I would have to pay somebody $7 an hour for me to leave, etc, etc, etc. I get my wood delivered and stacked for $45 a rick, cut to my specs and seasoned. Got 4 rick last month and will probably need another 4-5 before the winter is over. Depends on how cold it gets but that business in Buffalo is not a good sign. It's too early to see what the persimmon seeds predict and I haven't seen any wooly worms to see what they say. The wood stove is the only heat we have but it works out really well. Just something about a fire.

Hey I don't feel so bad now, a wood stove is all we have for heat also.

2 to 3 cords a year and it's almost to warm in the house, we have the front door open and use the screen door .

We love it it's a different kind of heat, doesn't dry out the air like a central unit.

I cut my own wood, collected a little here and there, some from work that I get paid to take.

With some of the pines we took off this property and dug the roots I saved the stumps, split up for all the lighter wood I could ever want.

  8. Nice barn , it would hold alot of speakers and a boat !

    3. Trey just got banned from the Forum.

    Thats it?

We were waiting two days to find out someone is banned from the forum?

I hope that it's something better than that, or Michael will never hear the end of this .

  9. AH-HA!!! SO it DOES involve KLIPSCH! ...I KNEW IT!

They're going to hire Michael to take all new corporate personnel portraits for the newly-rebuilt, corporate web site! ...How am I doin' so far?

I would guess very close, new website, newly acquired speaker companies, new gear, new photographer / marketing person.?

  10. " There might be a very big change in the life of Michael Colter soon. Stay tuned...."

A nice Lady would do that but we would have heard of that by now ?

Speakers ? he has about 3 tons of them, it would be hard to belive he would get that excited over new speakers , no matter what they were ? Although he loves them, and only a few Klipsch he doesnt have or had a version off ?

A new job, that could be a very big change ? At Klipsch ? That would get him this excited.

This had me thinking for 2 days now, he did say industerial ?.

    I hate puzzles, and waiting.
