Rory Gallagher and his battered 61 Stratocaster not in the top 100? What's up with that!

Today while browsing the second hand shops I found a pair of general electric speakers model A1-406B They look to be mid 50s (blond oak) They stand 31" tall 25" wide and 18"deep. They each have a 12" GE A1-401 dual coaxial speaker inside. Has anyone herd of these? They are a great sounding set of speakers for $29.99

I rediscovered Rory about a year ago when I found a copy of the duece album on cd at Best Buy. I had herd his music years before but I didn't remember how good he really was, the man could do it all, Blues, Folk and Rock. No matter what you're taste I think anyone could find something to like about his music. There are some good websites out there devoted to keeping his music alive. He was a true working class hero to his fans and is a man that should not be forgotten.

I had the dust caps replaced on a pair of cornwalls awhile back by a local pro audio place for a total of about $35.00. I had them do both woofers to be shure they looked the same(only one was damaged) They did a nice job and I was glad I spent the extra money. Things to think about are 1 Will they look the same if you do just one. 2 can you get the old ones off without damageing the cone(a recone is more than $35.00) Good luck Beezera65
