Well, if A is salted and B is unsalted and C is in the shell and D is already shelled and E are Boiled.

Then there is the point of Allergy.

  2. On the MSN homepage, there is a warning article regarding blackouts this Summer.

Predicating a blackout, there can be several minutes of low voltage - brownout. This can be as damaging over time as a Surge.

Thus you can go to a true Line Conditioner, which will keep the Current steady. Or if you are in an area that is known for Power interruptions, purchase a meter that at least will display the actual number of volts.

Prevention is the best form of Protection.

  3. Several weeks ago there was a thread noting the spyware, tracking or ad cookies and their results on your Computer.

With webtv, there is the ease to see what cookies you've picked up and clear them.

I have noticed for the third time that when I go to Google I pick up their cookie PLUS basically by name is noted as a tracking or ad placing cookie.

I can add another address which is different, so that's my strategy for any Google searches. Makes me wonder what they place on a PC.

    Hey Allan:

    A Mopar Man Too? Alright.

The Best Man at mt wedding had a 1970 Hemi Cuda with a six paqck. 56 miles on it. Five years ago the Garage he was storing it in burned. Neither the owner of the garage nor my Best Man had Fire Insurance - he did not even have Comp.

One I went to school with owned a 1963 Corvette, split window. When the 1964s came out with no split, he had his removed.

Last One is the late 1970s. Guy I know had a girlfriend that worked in the Estates and Trust of a local Law Firm. Gentleman that had stored a !963 split window, 275 miles, passed. The Family knew nothing of the value.

He bought the car, still owns it, paid $350.00 for it.

While you don't feel that you need any thanks, what we have IS because of Vets like you.

While we can never repay all of the Vets, including those that gave everything, hopefully we can take a few days each year to pause and say Thank you.

For the Viet Nam Vets, it is time that you are finally getting some respect. You had a job to do, you did it but there were no cheers when you returned. You have my respect for what you did.

For all Emergency Personnel, you may not be Military, but you are serving just the same.

Whether You were in the Battlefield or in an Office, you had a role to play that has given me my continued Freedom, you work toward Peace and you ask little.

We owe you a lot. The ability to write these words.

All Races, Creeds, Colors, Nationalities - we are ALL Americans. I give my personal thanks also to Native-Americans who have given us their Veterans as well as so much more.

Please, thank a Veteran or an Emergency Personnel Worker. They keep us a great Country.

    Thank You 12.gif

  7. If you are in areas that experience frequent power outages, lightning, live near transmitter towers, the chances are that you will find a difference, if not audible, in the lifespan of your equipment.

Most worry about surges, but too little power is also harmful.

The RFI,EMI filtering is also good.

One Esoteric Audio place sells Filtering "Chokes" for close to $59.00. Basically they are Ferrite and very similar either round barreled, or rectangular "Chokes" can be bought at your local Electronics Store or Radio Shack for about $15.00 for the same.

They attach close to the input of the Component. They do clear things up.

  8. From an importance list, anything you don't want to lose quickly - don't leave it in your glovebox.

If you know that you're going somewhere and won't want to take your wallet or purse - leave them home. Only take your license and registration, plus needed money.

If you are going in the water put them in a plastic watertight bag that will fit an inner pocket of your suit.

And if you have a debit card, please don't use your or a family member's birthdate, address, anniversaey as your PIN. Some Insurance Companies are starting to not cover losses if those are used.

And as convenient as it may seem, the slide your card through check-outs as those in Grocery Stores, where your gender isn't even checked - contact your bank or card company and let them know that THEY are making it too easy for fraudulent use and YOU should NOT have to pay for their decisions.

Most banks pay a maximum of three percent on savings. YOU pay 7 - 21.98 percent interest on your card, $20.00 - $40.00 for a bounced check plus what you're charged by the people you gave the check to, late fees of $20.00 - $40.00 even if one day late. Then it all snowballs to Over-limit fees, possible collection costs.

Figure it out, who is against Bankruptcy, yet who adds the amounts that can put people there? Use credit like poison.

  9. As Gary noted, Welcome to the Forum.

I have heard his and they indeed do what's needed.

I have the pleasure of two pair of Cornwall IIs, in addition to Heresys. They get the job done.

In one room I have Heresys atop the Cornwall IIs and as my CD Player has a variable and also a fixed set of outputs, I use two different Receivers, Pre-Amps / Amplifier combinations as the mood strikes me. I find that to be a very pleasurable set-up.

Stick around, and keep sharing - I'm flexible, one set-up is McIntosh Tube, the other is Solid State.

  10. One of the other reasons that the dissatisfaction with Monster Products is the inclusion in a thread that was pulled of a "response" by the President of the Company that the practices were not, I repeat, not being done.

Monster, the job site, Monster Garage, a number of Companies that are not in any way connected with Cables, Interconnects, Line Conditioners had already received legal papers. That made his statement one by someone that is not aware of what matters are being taken.

There is a point in trademark where the product has to be at least somewhat similar. Thus if an inferior product is offered, the Company has remedy by legal action.

There was talk, true or not, that Donald Trump was going for copyright or trademark of "you're fired." Imagine the enforcement.

But, the word Monster has been copyrighted within the titles of Books, films, Magazines, should The owners if alive of Famous Monsters of Filmland be able to take legal action against Monster Cable?

Additionally, how long have they not aggressively taken action?

Then to do so against companies, products, etc., that would never be mistaken for anything made by them. And their President Posted that the actions noted were not being taken.

That is the crux of the feeling of any other brand but.

As to Line Conditioners, I have redundant. However, when my wife used her sewing machine, I would get interference. In one room it would be snow on the Television, or static in a tuner - though I had layers of Surge, RFI, EMI Protection. The solution was a Radio Shack single outlet Surge Protector with RFI, EMI, Filter.

    Welcome to the Forum!

It's nice to read knowledge with humour injected. A definite plus.

  12. Sorry to hear that.

It's not just the City - you hear more about crime in the City because of Population Density.

Also, if it makes the papers, they sell more.

A lot of people keep their title and registration in their glovebox. Not smart. Or the hidden magnetic box house key. Some find the key, break into the car, get the address, they're in.

Some find the key, follow the vehicle home or have a duplicate made then put it back in place.

Gee, I wonder how they got in. Or if you have nice new locks with the new keys, chances are that there is a serial number on the key. It's not a serial number, it's the cut code to make a key without having one to copy.

If you have keys with the number, have duplicates made and put the ones with a code in a lock box.

If you have an expensive house, you will see locks on the market that are 5 pin or 6 pin. For just a few dollars more, the 6 pin usually has more security features and are harder to pick. If that's the choice of break-in

That's the thing with being open minded. No offense taken.

There may be shows all three of us either agree or disagree.

I state it, I like her looks.

    Nothing wrong with eye candy.

  14. Did you try spreading the connectors?

It seems that in the 1980s cable burn in, Interconnect burn in, tube burn in became the rage.

I don't know how people were able to listen to all the distortion, poor sound, no warmth, no sound of excessive amounts of money falling into cash register tills in the 1950s - 1970s.

One Company I know of suggests $5.00 per foot for their heavy gauge Speaker Cable. When you Buy a Spool of it the cost including shipping (Dealers) is a whole $.60 per foot.

This seems to rival the drug companies. Maybe you should be on bad drugs when buying.

Max: if you were up until 0200 hours, could mental fatigue be a factor?

  16. When the term movers and shakers is used, truly Paul is one.

In one Post he can elicit ten responses.

Then in another thread, he does add and we agree civilly. Sort of like trial Lawyers.

But he does add, sometimes what is added has to be read several times. Sort of like the Wizard of Oz.

I have to say, I find some of his posts very amusing. A dry sense of humour. But like Ben, Neo, myself he adds to the flavour and intelligence base of the board.

Not as obvious as Allan, a walking jazz library. But, yes, he can bait, he carry on a good discourse - BSAFirebird1969 is another. Knows what he's talking about, uses few words on the board.

Somehow I learn. I may have to sift through whatever.

But, just to refresh: If you have some Sennheisers gathering dust and want to sell, contact me.
