  1. Use the splitter and just adjust the volume on the back of the sub to your desired level.
  2. What is a good sub to get in this price range ? I am replacing a KSW 12 and the mains are KLF 20's. I was looking at the Definitive Technology PF 15TL+ and was wondering has anyone auditioned it.
  3. Check out www.omnimount .com, They will give you the right model for your speakers.
  4. I am using Audioquest Type 4 and CV4 on my KLF20's. I heard a dramatic difference between these cables and Monster cable XP especially in the highs. The XP were extremely bright while the AQ's were much milder. I am using a Sony STR DB 930 which is a bright receiver. Also auditioned MIT Terminator 4's which were not as tight in the bass and muddy in the mids. So, in my opinion there is a difference between speaker cables.

The internal scalers arn't nessisarily that good so it's absolutely critical that you see them displaying a standard 480i signal if you plan on doing any regular TV watching. Most stores will be showing off the HD signal. I've heard many testimonials from people that bought a new DLP set only to find out that regular TV viewing was a huge drop in quality from thier old CRT TV. ---------------- I agree with those testimonials. I own the 60XBR800 and there is a noticable difference between regular tv channels as compared to a digital cablebox. But, I do all my watching with my cable box so it doesn't bother me. Once you watch this set calibrated and showing a HD signal you will fall in love. If you've ever watched a hockey game in HD you'll know what I mean.
  6. Danny, I ordered the CV4 this weekend to run the highs and the Type 4s to run the low. I am definetly one of "those' who believe cables make a difference, especially after testing out MIT terminator 4s and the Monster Cable XP against the Type 4s with the Type 4s coming out the best sounding of the 3. I was just trying to save some money by going with the Monster Cable. Learned my lesson!
  7. I am glad to see that you all remembered this tragic day. I work for the Postal Service and not a word was said, be it a moment of silence or anything, to those who gave there lives that day. It seems that alot have forgotten the families who lives have been torn apart by the events of 9/11. My thoughts go out to them all.
  8. I was using the Type 4 but do to a move I had to go to longer lengths. I then figured I would just get some 14 gauge from Best Buy. I might have to go back to the Type 4 even though I don't think they are as tight in the bass department.
  9. How can I take the harshness out of these speakers? I am using a Sony STR DB 930 and was told by a fellow Klipsch owner that the receiver is too "bright".Can I use an eq to remedy the problem or should I start looking for a used Mcintosh or Marantz?

  11. Thanks for the input. I really don't need to use the sub, my KLF20's get pretty close to the Ksw 12 anyway, I just had it and didn't know what to do with it. Thanks again.
  12. Can I put a sub in a closet without affecting the sound quality? The closet is connected to the living room and I was going to put a return register between the closet and living room to let sound through. Does this make any sense?
  13. Would this be a good receiver to run KLF20's with?
  14. I know Heresys have been mentioned as a good choice and there are plenty on Ebay but how expensive are they to repair or refurbish if there are problems with say speaker rot? Also, would they be an ok match with the KLFC7?
