  1. Hello everyone. First post. Recently purchased a new home and EVENTUALLY plan to build a dedicated theater and have 3 or 4 audio zones (maybe more) for music throughout the house. Would love some advise/ input on equipment. So far I have accumulated; rp280f, rp450c, rp250s (price matching @ bestbuy whenever frys or amazon went on sale). All speakers sit idle and have never been used. Was going to pull trigger on flagship avr but feel like it would be sad to invest thousands for a future paperweight. Also, given my "eventual" plans, I will need additional amplification anyway. So I thought a separate amp with a mediocre or used processor would be a decent start. Mcintosh caught my eye for thier looks and reputation, but am I crazy given the sensitivity of my speakers? I thought to start I would buy a newMc152 along with a used processors or avr then add from there. All comments & suggestions welcome and hope some has experience with pairing these speakers with mcintosh products. Peace & Love. Peace & Love.
  2. A few months back I posted that I was not happy with the center channel in my system, I was using a Martin-Logan SLM as my center channel. The SLM is a surface mount and it has short throw drivers and it was hard to balance in the system. I was not happy with the system. I looked at other center speakers and have always had a preference for Klipsch. I asked on the forum for opinions on the 440 and I was steered to the RP-450C instead. I found a factory recertified 450C on Amazon for an attractive price and it arrived today. This is a major improvement over the SLM. I thought a center with a box enclosure would be better and apparently, I was correct. I still have some balancing to do, but I'm liking it. The System Yamaha Receiver - RX-A860 R&L Speakers - Klipsch Heresy 1 - total rebuild with all new drivers and X-over R&L effects/presence - Martin Logan Edge The system just underwent a major improvement and sounds real sweet in either A/V or music The Klipsch R:P-450C and it was hard to balance in the system Rebuilt Heresy 1 RP-450C with the M-L Edges
  3. Hello everybody new here. I was wondering which is a better center channel out of the three. The rp440c, rp450c, and rc62ii. I don't have floor standing speakers yet so I don't need to timbre match anything. I can get there rc62ii brand new for under 200 but both rps are over 400 and 500. Is it worth it or is the rc62ii a better speaker then the other two? Oh and my room is a 16x25 so is one of the speakers better for bigger rooms? Thanks everybody!
  4. I have an Yamaha RX-A770 (Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven, 95 W (8 ohms, 0.06% THD) Considering upgrading my speakers to a pair of Klipsch RP-260Fs and a RP-450C. Will my receiver be powerful enough? Wife doesn't like it "too loud" so I am hoping based on that I will be ok. I also have a SVS SB-1000.
  5. Does anyone know if center channel speakers can be wall mounted?
