I put the Ipod in, I then (unplugged) loop the wire on my C-3's around my 4 left fingers. I put the ear pieces on the zipper side (opposite of hinge) and put the actual earpiece down, between the side (edge) of the Ipod and the top of the case, letting the loop of the earpiece lay on the top of the Ipod. I think he had lobbied for a bit bigger case but the focus group(s) wanted it to be as small as possible. I have a Creative Labs Zen xTra (that big thing in my current avatar) - that might fit in the case for my Custom 2s, tightly, but no room for nothing else and would probably ruin the zipper, so there's no hope that it'll fit into the case with the Custom 2s.
