Since my other speakers are or have been vintage, I'm not familar with the terminals, thus I have included a photo. My questions are, 1) can you hook raw wire directly to the middle of the terminal where it unscrews, or does the wire have to be connected to a male plug to insert in the terminal? 2) Will it hurt the speaker to test with the raw wire? SilverSport Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 unscrew until you reveal the hole in the post...run raw end through hole in post...screw down nice terminal end...sit back and enjoy a speaker that will have the undoubtable signature Klipsch sound...enjoy! I did unscrew while I was waiting for a reply, and saw the hole, so I thought it would be for wire (big wire). Will try later. longdrive03 Posted December 25, 2008 Share Posted December 25, 2008 You can also buy a banana plug and wire you + and - wire to it and then plug it in the end of the terminal keeping the + and - matched with the terminal side.
