Deang
Phase shift is 0.6 Deg at 400 Hz, 21 Deg at 6000 Hz. I don't think that will matter. Al K.. Thanks for taking the time to check that, I was curious what the impact would be.
Deang
I would have used a better capacitor, but the Dayton is probably good enough -- you seem happy enough with the result. Along with killing the peak, the P-trap also introduces additional insertion loss which serves to bring the squawker level down a bit more -- about 2dB on average across the driver's useful range. This is not an insignificant amount. The peak on most of those drivers is typically about 10dB down from the tweeter's output, and I believe what people are really hearing is the reduced squawker output -- and not necessarily the removal of the peak.
