tnt95
Getting the upgrade bug. Any thoughts or opinions on the McAlister Tube Amps. Are they a good match with Klipsch?
rsp1068
Tubes are a great match with Klipsch, and if the McAlister is the gentleman in Canada who builds them by hand, I have heard from a couple people that have bought from him and think they are very good. The one guy ran them through Polk speaks, where a Rotel RB-1090 resided prior (2x380 solid state) and he loved the change. He bought a 60 watter if memory serves me correctly. I know of 2 happy customers, and no unhappy ones.

tnt95
I'm considering having Peter McAlister build me a custom Integrated Tube Amp. I have a choice between a Single Ended @15 watts per channel or an AB1 @ 70 watts per channel. Not sure which would be better to drive a pair of Forte Originals or how much (if any) of an upgrade it would be compared to my NOS Valves Scott 299B. Multibiker
I have met Peter a few times and have been to his home. I was impressed with his knowledge, integrity, and passion for audio. You can't go wrong dealing with Peter. Unfortunately I have no experience with Fortes so I can't offer any hardware advice.
