Edde
According to some of these post, I too am a victim of the black friday purchase back in 2006 at best buy for the Klipsch Synergy Sub-10. I didnt realize there was a general issue going on with these subs until after I read some of the post on this site. My late observation was due to the fact I purchased the sub for my current house which was finally finished being built last December. But it wasnt until this week when I notice the problem after I dust off the box, unpackaged it and connected to my Denon reciever. I first thought it was cable which I replaced a few times already, thought it was the power in the wall since the house was new but I got that checked out too and then i finally hooked it up to a cd player to see if i could get any sound and as I result I got nothing. The led light comes on stays blue for about 15 minutes then goes into standby mode. There is no feedback when you turn it on or off or plug in the rca cord while on. And my reciever cant pick it during the speaker detection using the mic. The only thing I havent done yet is replace the fuse but I did remove it and it looks to be in good shape compared to all the bad fuses I have seen in my lifetime but I will still replace just in case. In the meantime, I will still like to know my options are because I cant find the orginal reciept for it (its been two years and some change now) and the warranty is now up, I missed it by 3 months. Is there an authorized service place I can take it too? Should I just replace it? I do plan on calling support on Monday but right now there offices are closed. If anyone has an idea please let me know because as all of you are aware....surround sounds doesnt work well without the sub. Thanks[:'(] Edde
Fish
I'd like to see someone come on here and say they had a sub 10 for years workin' great.I really think Klipsch should repair/replace these subs a little beyond warranty as there is NO doubt they have issues. BuyOtherSoundEquipment
There has been a Sub10 at the Best Buy I work at in constant use since March of 2007, set to 70% gain running for 12 hours a day. No issue with that particular unit. That's not to say that it is impossible to have issues with them. I just haven't witnessed any.

tommyboy
My RW10 is almost 7 years old. I've absolutely abused this sub, and it still sounds GREAT! I think it's the amps. The RW subs and sub 12 have BASH amps, which are pretty much the standard for subs now. At least with Klipsch, SVS, HSU, Outlaw........... just to name a few
