lmc
I just received my new ProMedia 2.1 speaker system. My question is this: The Sub has a grill on one side, and a cone on the adjacent side. Which is the room-side?
Hrimnir
Subs dont really work that way. That being said both the sub and port do move some air, so if you have any thing nearby that could flap, such as a plant or window blinds, etc, i would point it away from those. Also keep in mind the amp is typically mounted to what is typically considered the "back" of the subwoofer, so you could always use that as a point of ref. lmc
Ok, so I'm guessing you're saying it's the entire unit that puts out the sound, and the back (wall) side is the wired side.... yes?
Groomlakearea51
Welcome to the Forum. No such thing as a dumb question... Besides, I ask them all the time just to stay sharp!!! In any event, nothing in the "rules" says you can't try them in different ways to see what sounds best for you.
Fotog
According to this photo http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/promedia-2-1.aspx , the front would be the port side with the speaker to the right. I would regard the side with the Klipsch emblem as the front.
