artto Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 I'm not absolutely sure, but I believe the M-40t is just the larger brother of the m-1.5t. I had three 1.5t (one for each front main) in my system ~ for about 10 minutes. That was all I needed. The REAL valve amps went back on and the 1.5t's went back to the store. The "T" is for "Transfer" function which was some tweaking were Carver claimed he could make a tranistor amp sound like a tube amp. BIG YELLOW BUTTON please. In the a760x Carver is remarketing his old "magnetic field power supply" as "magnified current". I'm not a big fan of Carver who thinks that in speakers, distortion goes down as efficiency goes down.
