Hy guys,

I'm glad i'm here with you.

I bought an Onkyo 605 some days ago, and I'm still looking for a speaker setup for my home.My room is about 25-30 square meters. I will use it intensely for movie, games, and music of course. But movies comes on the first place.

So I stopped On F1 Series with 2xF1 2xS1 and C1.

My questions are :

Will they work well together (Onkyo + Klipsch) ?

Will they feet in my room?

Do I really need a sub woofer 10 for this series? Or is ok without it.

You really have to help me here :)

Your friend,

Alex Jurja, Romania

Thx guys

So it will be a good choise for my receiver, but I need a SUB.

And the sub 10 (from the series) is not enough? Is such big difference between 10 and 12?

Interesting.

If you have any more ideas helping me to improve my system just let me know.

Onkyo 605 can do 7.1 so if I want to go with 2 more speakers for sorround what should i choose?

I can't really recommend another sub besides the Sub 12. (not a budget sub anyway) The sub 12 is IMHO, easily the best bang for your buck out there. You asked if theres a big differ in the Sub 10 and the Sub 12. I have a RW10, which is far superior to the Sub 10. The sub 12 is far superior to my RW10. So YES, there is a HUGE diffference in the Sub 10 and 12. As far as 7.1 goes, you would want to keep your S1's as side surrounds, and run B1's (or bookshelves) as rear surrounds............

Thx tommyboy, saturday i'll go in hungary to take my synergy speakers (are cheaper than in Romania), but in thi s moment they've got no sub12.

[:(]

So I'll take them without sub, beacuse I want it from the same series, and let them notice me when its available.

In Romania the sub 12 is around 600 Euro !!

And from Hungary 600 Euro are all my Klipsch F1 Series without sub.

What do you think ? Its a nice price or not ?

  • 1 year later...

Hy guys!

I'm back, well after an year and a half or so.

So, I bought the Klipsch F-10, really awesome sound, and the Magnat Supreme 301A Sub 12", 16-200 Hz.

I have a new problem: Crossover....

So LR front speakers are 39hz-23000hz

C is 100hz-23000hz

SLR are 95hz-23000hz

Sub is 16hz-200hz

In speakers config menu what are the good frequencies for every speaker? And in the back of my Sub there are two buttons: Level (0-10) and crossover (50-150hz. Now level is 5 and crossover to max (150hz).

In this moment all speakers are set to 100 hz, including the LFE ( 100hz on this means it will come in from 16hz-100hz, or not?)

What do you think of that, and what about the buttons on the back of the Sub? I really dont know.... Please help

Here is how I have chosen to setup my system.

Receiver set to 80 Hz crossover to LFE

I have my all speakers set to Small.

My sub is set to just under 1/2 volume (that's the Level on your sub).

I have the crossover on the sub set to 120 since the receiver is

Basically, this sends any sounds 80 Hz and below to my sub.
