samson
I'm using RF-5's and RC-64 for my front soundstage. For surrounds I'm using RF-3's and RS-3's. Do you think if I used RF-62's in place of the RS-3's the speakers would sound well together? I got the 62's for 325. in mint condition and would love to use them. Lylefan
Samson... my first thought is that I have had many different surround systems and the actual "surrounds" make the least bit of difference. That being said, I for one, before making a definitive hypothetical comment without hearing your setup, would like to know what size room you have and where the main seated position is located. You are moving from a very good classic surround speaker to a very good floor standing surround speaker. Your subwoofer and processor settings would also make a huge difference with this set-up. DrWho
RF-62 should be a really close sonic match. How are you going to position them in your room? Placement of the surrounds is probably more important than the speaker itself.
samson
The rf3's to the sides and the 62's directly behind me.
wuzzzer
Might want to switch them around and see how they sound. Side surrounds are recommended to be RS series and rear surrounds RF series.
