G.Kennedy
The best way would to use a iPod dock to RCA cable .... this gives you a line out signal from the iPod and skip some of the internal parts .... the second best way would be to use a mini headphone to RCA cable and use the headphone jack .... this way make the volume control on the Ipod functional .... but has the signal going thorugh the internal iPod amp. either way ... you can use AUX or CD input .. anything listed as Line IN .... NOT Phono IN
Dennie
Hey Jpm, I "patch" my Ipod into my preamp like G. Kennedy suggested. I went to Radio Shack and purchased ($12.99) a 20' - 1/4" Stereo mini jack to RCA jacks cable and plug it into the CD input on my preamp. This way I can sit in my favorite chair and use my Ipod through my system. Remember, this will not charge your Ipod. I charge my Ipod every night in my I-Home clock radio dock. bkrop
My i-home has line out on the back, I can't remember if it is a mini plug or not.
