Is th KSW-10 subwoofer shielded?

No, the KSW-10 (along with most subwoofers out there) is not shielded. The size of a driver and the magnet(s) in a subwoofer usually make shielding them cost prohibitive. Since a woofer has more flexibility in its placement in regards to a TV versus a main or center channel speaker this, generally, has not been an issue. Also, a sub sits on the floor, generally out of harms way of the TV sitting higher up. I sit my unshiedded sub right next to my projection TV, and even with the guns of that TV at floor level there is no negative effect.

KSW series subs dont have massive magnetic structures and are mostly harmless(unless you use them as TV stands).

Only subs with large magnets have to be positioned 2-3 feet or more away from any CRT monitor.

I have both the KSW12 and 15,both are quite harmless.

On the other hand my Sunfire subs are monitor killers, they use DAMN BIG magnets and will damage monitors up close.HGS Velos also

Same for Aerial and Revel subs, have to be kept away from any monitors.
