Their motto is: "If there was a better way to build speakers, we would do it." Bo Bengsston While they're apparently trying to speak in the conditional, the verb "was" is past tense. I believe they meant to say, "If there were a better way to build speakers, we would do it." The implication being that there isn't so they haven't.
