CharlieTuna
Wow! A little bigger than my old KG 2.2V, sounds a world apart! Watched a little of "Preditor" mit Arnold, had to get back to work. This thing weighs 38 lbs. Am I gonna wake up one night to the thud of it collapsing through the top of my Pioneer rear projection TV? Do others support their center channel speaker somehow? HornEd
Charlie T, I had a C7 on the top of a Mitsu 65" RPTV with absolutely no problem. I lined up the front edge about a 1/2 inch from the front of the TV (where a TV is generally reinforced) end elevated the rear of the C7 to aim at the sweetspot. Yes, the C7 is a grand old speaker... even heavier than an Academy. Some people put a board or piece of metal down to spread out the weight. I now have a "horizontalized" KLF-30 Center atop the Mitsu, that's nearly three times the weight of a C7 with no sign of protest from the Mitsu... so I expect your Pioneer will do just fine. It's time to kick back and enjoy the sound! HornEd
aab3rd
My C-7 sits on top of my 55" Hitachi RPTV just like HornEds did and has been there for three years without any problems. Of course, if it did fall through it would be an excuse to tell my wife we need a new HD ready TV.
