Pioneer Elite Amp

I have an opportunity to get a pair of Pioneer Elite MX-10 amps for my home theatre system. I want to amp my front and center speakers, and though my Pioneer Elite VSX92-tx recevier claims to put out 130 watts per channel into 8 ohms, I can definitely tell the difference when I go from stereo to surround. Does anyone have any experience with these amps-are they worth $550 per pair(100 watts per channel) or is my hard earned $ better spent elsewhere? There are 3 Marantz MA-500 monoblocks local for $150 each, but I have no experience with those. Thanx for the input.

can't find Pioneer specs

but with "20 Hz - 20 kHz <.09% THD 180 W into 4 ohms"

600 watts dynamic power into 4 ohms, I would rather have the Marantz trio
