Fanboyz
What kind of crossover is the RS52 meant to be used with? 80hz or 90hz? I ask because according to Home theater mag it''s 3-dbs down at 90hz and down 6 at 79hz? The THX surrounds KL525 have a 3-db point of 101hz and down 6 at 80hz, so should I use an 80hz crossover as THX seems to consider the -6db point the point to crossover. In my room the Rs52 is within 75-82 dbs between 200hz and 60hz. What did the designers of the WSDT rs52 envision for a crossover point used by the user? wuzzzer
Welcome to the forum! Klipsch measures them 3dB down at 62Hz. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/rs-52-specifications/ Depending on your other speakers 80Hz should work well for you. willland
Welcome to the forum. I think 80hz will work fine. Being that the -3dB point is at 62hz, crossing over at 70hz will work but I think 80hz is more ideal. Now for your LFE channel, I would say 80hz also.
