Tim_in_NC
Hi Guys ... The 2 rears are no longer getting sound and the front's get popping and crackling ... and the sub has a terrible hum, etc ... I figure it's the amp board on the sub ... There use to be a guy on Ebay that repaired these but I can't find him anymore ... Anyone ever had theirs successfully repaired? ... If so, did you do it yourself or send out to Klipsch or someone else ... Thanks, TIM
Daddy Dee
Tim, Bummer. I'd suggest to call Klipsch support first and try a diy repair as last resort. I think you're right that something is amiss with the amp in the sub. Occasionally there will be a stand alone sub on Ebay that could be had for a few bucks. Saturn5
I've got an old Promedia v.2-400 setup and I have a scratch sound on it and one speaker drops out. On mine, it's the volume control. You might start with something simple like that. I'd definitely ask Klipsch support first.
Tim_in_NC
Called Klipsch and they no longer repair the 4.1's ... I've located a fellow that repairs these and will probably go that route ...
