Heyopenit
I am using Klipsch Quintet IV + Onkyo 607 Since my room is very small , I dun even have enough space to put my front speakers next to my center speakers. The current front speakers are placed in a top shelf which made it looks like front height speakers position but pointing down to me. As I wanna buy a pair of smaller speakers (even smaller than quintet IV) to try 7.1 feeling, so what I can do is buy a pair of smaller (weaker) speakers which connected to front height plug of the amp but place next to my centre speaker. What's your opinion on such settings?? I know it sounds weird but that's what I can do at this moment in order to try 7.1. Any opinion or suggestion to me??? thx a lot
wuzzzer
If you do what you're describing, its not considered 7.1. 7.1 has three front speakers, two side surrounds and two rear surrounds. If your room is as small as you're describing I see no benefit from any kind of 7.1 setup.

I'd love a 7.1 myself, but I'm force to have the main position against the wall in order to have any sort of distance between me and the tv (and to maintain WAF) ..so it's 5.1 for me with no real disappointment or sense of loss. Heyopenit
really thx a lot. So I stick to my present "high main" 5.1 settings then.
