darylomer12
Marantz 7001-- $400 isn't bad and getting the cables don't hurt, but 7 hours is alot of driving. Hopefully, you drive a fuel efficient car.. Denon 3805-- $250 isn't bad, but I've had this reciever and I wouldn't recommend running it at high volumes for very long. It gets pretty hot. I found Denon to be bright with my klipsch. Although I never had them hooked up to a pair of klf-20's either. Pioneer VSX-1015tx--- This is not part of the "Elite" series. This reciever will have a hard time pushing your klf's in my opinion. My first reciever was a 1015tx and $300 is way too much...120 watts seems more like 60 watts.... I say if you don't mind the drive, get the marantz. But the 3805 will work too....
sunburnwilly
Marantz 7001 plus set of 150 dollar high end audioquest speaker cables for 400 and 7 hour total driveScrew the drive and give the seller $50. to ship , if he has the original packing . In a nutshell I would go with the Marantz .

wuzzzer
The 7400 is older than the 7001. The 7001 has HDMI inputs/outputs, the 7400 doesn't. I'd personally go with the 7001 and I'm not just saying that because I own one. Even though the 7001 is already a few years old it still has everything you need as far as connections, component video, HDMI, etc.
