MoparBob
Has any one try a false corner on a sub. I move my RSW15 out of the corner
Chris A
Have you tried putting it in another corner of the room? The size of an effective "false corner" for a sub operating sub-30 Hz may be pretty large - larger than you want to consider... Besides, the sub needs to be connected to the room (acoustically), and the corner is the best place to do that, by far. Chris
MoparBob
The only corner that I have is in the back of the room. I could put a few RCA's together to try it. I don't want to build a RCA that long if I don't have to. I will give that a try. I like having the sub in the front.
The Dude
Just for the record I made a 30' rca wire out of rg59 from tributaries for around 35.00 that was with their expensive ends too, so you could even get some cheaper ones off of the bay if you wanted. duder
MoparBob
I no longer use RG59 I will only use RG6, RG6 has a larger core and better insulation. I don't use RG6 for audio unless it's digital. I just made some RBG cables from my computer to my system that was RG6 quad shielded. I bought a spool of 420' for $10.00 when Sound Tracks north closed. I'm a Radio and TV station engineer and I make all my cables. I don't go for all that Monster Cable hype. I buy neutrik rca's and XLR's from Parts Express and use Belden, Canare or from Clark cable or Libety cable they are in town for me to pick up. If someone can solder and they buy good parts they can make there own cable and make the routing good.
The Dude
I just used rg59 for the sub cause that is what was recommended from some websites and couple of local shops. Regardless of the type of cable, I just love the fact more people make their own. I too have used rg6 dual, tri, and quad shielded cable from different brands. I enjoy making my own for several reasons. sorry to get off subject
