jiriza84641
Hello all, My system consists of a Pioneer Elite 94thx RB 51 Bookshelf RC51 Center RS 42s Surronds Icon xw-300d is is what i plan for my bedroom. I mainly listen to movies and do gaming, should i have gone with the RW10-2 sub, I went with this sub due to its small footprint. Also, was looking at setting my speakers to small on my receiver, with the sub at 50 hz. I would like some crossover recommendations from the masters of Klipsch, since I am new to these speakers. Thanks all for comments.
Jakeg123
I would start off with setting the crossover at 80Hz and playing with it a little. See what you think sounds the best.
jiriza84641
would this be to the sub or the main speakers! I had the sub at 80 but it sounded a bit boomy!

Set the sub's crossover to as high as it goes and let the receiver control the sub's crossover.
jiriza84641
ah, ok, ill have to play with the receiver settings, i have the sub set at 50 hz for the sub, and the sub xover set off so the receiver sends the signal. Now should i set the speakers to small or large would be the next question. Thanks for the other info!
Mr. RF62
Usually have to set the Fronts to small for it to take effect.
jamesV
Hello and Welcome to the Forum. If you have the mic for the receiver you should run the auto setup and see how that comes out for you. Listen to it for a day or two to get a base on what like and don't like. Then you can go in and start changing the settings to your liking. It is true that most start off with setting the x-over to 80 and going from there. Each person has a different room size and sound that they like, that is half the fun to all this, so start where you like and tweak until you find the correct setting for you.
