While I'm searching reasonable/low priced K-55V/M, I have started to wonder how K-53 would preform in larger/custom horn? How low can it be crossed. Original forte crossover is 700 Hz. Is 500Hz possible with K-53? This is my measure of raw k-53, inside Forte I horn (efficiency is not correctly calibrated). Looks like 600Hz is possible but I'm not an expert. I have used this driver as low as 600hz, however it may go lower without issues depending on the crossover used. HudsonValleyNoah Posted January 18, 2010 Share Posted January 18, 2010 The k-53/57/52 driver can (and does) 600 Hz with the K-600 / 601 horn - so yes, it will do 600 Hz.
