killer clown Posted January 25, 2010 Share Posted January 25, 2010 This post is for those who have entered into this hobby recently and believe their speakers are a little "bright".After purchasing a set of KLF-10s on E-bay and adjusting my system to the most ear-friendly setting i could find I still heard a " brightness " in the higher frequencies.After reading posts in these forums I decided to try titanium tweeters for more control.This modification tamed the beast.I purchased mine from Bob Crites and his website instructions made the swap seamless.As I enlarge my system I will perform this mod on each speaker.If you need to tame your beast I srongly suggest you perform this mod also.Not only was the brightness less the frequencies reproduced were more open and controlled.Total effect...9 out of 10.Difficulty of installment....2 on scale of 10.Horns rule.K.C.
