CapZark
I've heard that Cornwalls need to have consective serial numbers. Why is that? I found a pair the don't and I was wondering it that was a major issue? Thanks
Budman
you only need them to be consec serial numbers if they have real wood veneer ( cherry-walnut-oak etc. ) so the grain matches on both. if they are birch raw it doesn't matter if the price is right get them you won't be sorry
wuzzzer
As mentioned its really more for aesthetics so that the veneer pattern matches each speaker. My Forte IIs are a few numbers apart and the grain looks a little different but its not a big deal to me. You might find someone who is really picky that insists on buying a consecutively matched pair if they're really particular about things like that but to me it wouldn't be a dealbreaker nor would it make a large difference in how I would value them.
