Johnnybravoa4
I am new the the Forum so I am sorry If this post is in the wrong thread.. I just upgraded some of my speakers and came across a great deal on a RC-7 center that happens to be brand new never used. I also picked up a pair of RS-7's from the same person.. I currently have an old set of KSB 3.1 with matching center. I have no room for floor standing speakers and I have been search for some RB-75's but have had no luck. Now comes the question. I wanted to know if there was anything similar out maybe the R8 81's that I can buy that would blend well with the C-7? If needed I am running everything off a Marantz 6300.. Thank you for in advance for any help..
darylomer12
While a pair of RB-75's would be great, a pair of RB-5 would also be a nice match. I'd probably go the RB-5 route before I'd go with RB-81's, but either way I'm sure you'll be happy. I've heard the 81's with the RC-7 and it sounded fine. Johnnybravoa4
I'll look into the rb 5.. I have been looking for 3 weeks now..
Johnnybravoa4
The reason I was looking for the RB 75 was because on the klipsch web site they pair them together. I have been reading some posts and I am reading they don't match? Is there a match for the C 7 in a bookshelf?
Arky
The rc-7 will sound fine with the rb-75...if you can find them.

darylomer12
I asume the Rb 5 and Rb 5II are the same.. The only difference is the RB-5II is internally wired with monster calbe. No difference in sound.. To me anyway
Moderators Youthman Posted January 31, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2010 Welcome to the forums. You are off to a great sounding system. RB-75's are ideal, but as you have found, they don't show up very often and when they do, they are not cheap. Good luck in your search. Moderators Youthman Posted January 31, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2010 I just emailed a guy about a pair of RB-5's he has for sale. I'll let you know what I find out. I'm wanting to think that maybe Noah (hudsonvalleynoah) and maybe Daryl (darylomer) in the forums had a pair too. Might want to check with them to see if they are still available. Johnnybravoa4
I can't wait to get it all set up.. Thanks again I have the RS 3II surrounds. And a monster of a sub that was a home brew 2 15" free air kicker subs running off a 800 watt plate amp in a 5ftx2.5ftx1.5ft mdf box covered in black Vanir I made in college.. It shook the entire doorm.. Now it sets off car alarms and shakes my house..
Johnnybravoa4
One more question.. If I decided to go 7.1 what speaker should I look for to put in the middle? I have a set of Small klipsch surrounds I think they are quintent.. Or would those be to small and or not match up well..
