swegyptian Posted February 9, 2010 Share Posted February 9, 2010 So I am thinking about getting some new stuff for my Dad's setup. He doesn't want anything over the top, so I am trying to choose between these two systems. I have listened to both, and they both sound great, so it's a bit hard to choose. It would be for movies and TV only, so I am leaning towards the smaller system. If he listened to music on the system I might be more temped by the XL speakers and the better sub, but it might be hard to justify. What do you guys think? CECAA850 Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010 I've never been a big fan of satellite systems, so I'd most likely get the XL12's..I would imagine you'd have a fuller sound, especially from the center channel. swegyptian Posted February 19, 2010 Author Share Posted February 19, 2010 I have heard the XL23 system, and it sounds great. The HD1000 system is surprisingly good.
