Yura
Hey all, I've just stumbled upon a set of La Scalas with the folowing serials 005293567 005293568. I take these were made in 2000 and appear to be in great condition. They got AL3 crossover network and K55M's, one owner... What would be a fair price for these and is there anything i need to look out for (such as making sure all woofers/cones are original, etc? I should be picking them up tomorrow, so need advise ASAP. Marvel
There should only be eight numbers in the SN if they are from 2000. If they have an AL3, it might place them newer. I have '89 LS and mine had AL crossovers. Could they be '05 models? That was the last year before the LaScala II. I don't know the SN markings for those newer than 2000. Wrinkles
Yura, Call the Klipsch Technical Assistance phone line. They can tell you exactly when they were made and what components they should have in them like model of crossover, drivers, etc..
