normalnorman
Hi there, I know you posted this a while ago but now I have some input. I recently acquired a pair of Cornwalls after a year and a half of searching. I used a yamaha rxv520 home theater receiver and was very disappointed with what I heard. I found a Marantz 1530 used for cheap. I heard that Marantz were a wonderful match for Klipsch Heritage speakers. I am loving the combination! It sounds better than I could have imagined! However I dont know about your RF3's personally. All I can comment on are my Cornwalls.
Boxx
A quality vintage Marantz reciever can be an excellent match, with most Klipsch speakers. I have used my Marantz 2275 with a pair of vintage Belles and the result was excellent. I am a believer that Marantz has a certain warmth in its sound that is hard to find in other receivers. DRUID
An Old Dynaco 70A tube power amp & Dynaco PAS tube preamp works also rather well .....
Louis Bartay
I have two old Marantz Turner/Amp 2238B and a 2215B they have not been used in years. I need to clean them up and see if they will play Dad's old Cornwalls..... I have the Klipsch hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V2400 A/V Receiver. They sound great.
