rowooo Posted March 20, 2002 Share Posted March 20, 2002 I have Epic CF-2's which are black satin. I would like to change these to a light or medium Oak. Klipsch used a new precatalyzed lacquer finish on these. My question is Can this be done? How difficult? Whats the best way to sand them down/equipment/procedure and such? jerohm Posted March 24, 2002 Share Posted March 24, 2002 Acetone will remove the lacquer, but getting them clean enough to stain (light) would be a challenge given the deep oak grain.
