Demo Models

So I have been looking at getting a new home theater for awhile. I have Klipsch computer speakers and they are great. I came across this deal at my local electronics store. My question to you guys is this, one should I be worried about demo models? Everything is still under warranty and I know since they are the display model I can probably get a good deal. What do you think a fair price would be for me to get this whole system? Since they are the demo model do you think getting this package for around $1000 would be resonable? My main question what percentage off should I expect being that everything is a demo model. I appreciate the input!

2 Klipsch RF 35 Tower speakers (cherry) cost: 499/ea -- sale price: $275 x 2 = $550

2 Klipsch RB51 bookshelf/surround speakers (black) cost: $348/pr -- sale price: $220

1 Klipsch RC62 Center Speaker(black) Cost: $449 -- Sale Price; $275

1 Klipsch RW10 Sub Woofer (black) Cost: $ 499 -- Sale Price $275

total cost: $2350 --- total sale price: $1320

Welcome to the forums!

I'd shoot for 50% of MSRP. $1320 is pretty close to that already.

One thing to keep in mind is that RF-35s have been discontinued for a few years now so those speakers probably have the most 'miles' on them. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but demo speakers are many times put through their paces by either idiot customers or idiot salespeople.

As long as all the tweeters and woofers are currently working and as long as they are in good condition cosmetically I'd say do it. Maybe to get a little better deal make a big fuss over the fact that the RF-35s are cherry and that the other speakers are black. Tell them you really wanted everything to match. That might cause them to lower the price because that is a legitimate reason to pass up a set like that.

Let us know what you end up doing and make sure to take pics!!
