Me Loves Khorns
My friend is in a band at his church. As an insurance replacement for some speakers damaged, we was given a new set of CWIII's as a replacement. He would be using these with pro type amps and gear. He thought the speakers were going to more of a pro type speaker. He is wondering if it is possible to change the inputs from home use to a 1/4 in input. Would this speaker, with its current array of speakers and crossovers work well w/ pro type equipment for use in a church auditorium. He is trying to decide whether to keep these or try to get more of a dedicated loudspeaker type speaker. I have explained how wonderful these speakers are. Of course, I am coming from a home type use perspective. So, any thoughts or ideas on this? Paul
Moderators dtel Posted May 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2010 They do make adaptors for that I think, I will go look. Edit; http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=241-878 I also looked at monoprice but could not find them. "Would this speaker, with its current array of speakers and crossovers work well w/ pro type equipment for use in a church auditorium" I don't know about this part sorry. djk
1/4" speaker connections should be banned. What's wrong with bananna plugs? I would use a 211-2 lightbulb on the tweeter, they should be fine otherwise.
