aab3rd
For a first tube amp which would be better, Antique Sound Labs AQ 1003 or Jolida 102B. Either will be driving KLF20s with a AMC CD-8b CD player. Both have about the same specs. Here ]is the link for the ASL. Here is the link for the Jolida. aab3rd
I could not get the links to work myself. The Jolida is at Jolida.com, and the ASL is at Divertech.com.
No Disc
Hard to say which would sound better on your system and to your ears. Both have enough power, and are decent units. I like the EL-84 tube better than the EL-34, so my nod goes to the Jolida. You might want to try to find it used on Audiogon. - tb ------------------ ----------------------------- Two Channel System(s) Phono - None now. aab3rd
Thanks guys. Both were on Audiogon but the ASL is now sold. The Jolida is still there for $400. I might go ahead and get it since I can probably sell it for that if it does not work out for me.
aab3rd
I have been away for a while and have not had time to catch up. Has Mobil said any more about the Consonance Elle as far as availability in the states without paying the HIGH shipping. Also, has he auditioned it yet? This would be another option since I only need one input, but I do not want to pay the current shipping on one from overseas.
