those rf82 IIs , dont know if born yet or not, and the rf82s original , are pretty much the same thing that is there older version RF3s is. klipsch didnt do anythng to improve the rf 3s ,just changed dust caps , increased cabinet size , changed mdf thickness perhaps ,tweaked a bit with the network. and thats about it . thats no development . sorry if i sound rude . but to my ears they sound same . rf 7 is yes a step up .

I agree they are similarly specced for the most part.....

But to say they sound the same is misleading. Are they a super big improvement? No, but a significant improvement is probably very accurate.

Until you hear them side by side, you can not say that there is no difference.

The RF 82 IIs might sound WAY BETTER or may only be another refinement.... Time will tell.....

Original poster, as posted, they are not out yet.

Repost this question in 4-6 months and you will get a much more accurate answer.
