Billy joe
I believe i have a diaphram going bad. At loud volumes i hear a crackling sound coming from the midrange, i changed drivers from one speaker to the other, and the sound changed to the other speaker. I should change both diaphrams considering their age, but if i just changed out the bad one for now would there be a noticeable difference in the sound from one speaker to the other. Thanks. Groomlakearea51
Murphy's Law says, "When things are in pairs and one breaks, the other will surely also break when the first one is fixed".... probably better to do both; contact BEC; I think he has the diaphragms. sebrof
Go to Bob Crites's webpage. There is a step-by-step procedure with pictures. Could not be more clear or accurate. Go here http://www.critesspeakers.com/ and select Midrange
