vigiano
I may have the opportunity next week to buy a pair of Rf5's, I could then move my RF82's to the rear speakers. Is this a good Idea I recently got a denon 3311 receiver and am going to purchase an emotive 3 channel amp. will I see much difference by replacing the rf 82's in front with the 5's or should I wait for a used pair of 7's which was my original plan. The 5's are only going to cost $150.
wuzzzer
If you pass up a pair of RF-5s for $150 I can guarantee that anyone from this forum who would ever meet you in person would slap you silly. DO IT!!
vigiano
I was at the swap meet today and this guy has speakers all the time. He told me about the 5's and said he'd bring them next week. If he has them I'll grab them, but you never know if he'll have them. He had a pair of SF-1 speakers today for $50 and sold them right after I walked away. That guy said he'd come back for the 5's, but I know this guy and I think he'll give them to me if I'm there first. Hope he shows up with them. TxEvo8
I agree with wuzz, you HAVE to get them for $150!! I have both the 5s and 7s and I have to say that the 5s are very close to the 7s as far as performance. Good luck finding some used 7s, they just don't become availale too often.
