papermaster
Currently I am running the complete RF-7 II home theater system off of a the pioneer elite SC-37. The sub i am using is the sub 12 from my old synergy system. I was wondering what peoples recomendations were to set the crossovers for on the speakers and sub. I am planning on upgrading the sub in the future but would like to get the most out of my system at least for now. Thanks

papermaster
So the standard? I know depending on the speaker some people run theirs in the 40-100hz range. Was wondering if anyone had tinkered going lower than
odysseyrevolver
You can experiment with going lower with the two mains. I run my Cornwalls at 70.
runninshine
Can no one help??? You might want to ask that question in the Home theater section. Those guys are pretty good about that stuff. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
Rich_Guy
Experiment and see what you prefer, I think 80 would be too high for your RF-7's. I prefer to set my RF-5's at 60hz, my current preference on my system are my 3 fronts are all set at 60hz and my 4 surrounds are all set at 70hz. As I said experiment and see what sound you prefer. altpensacola
I have the original RF7's and the Synergy Sub 12. Despite what a lot of people peat and repeat, the Sub12 is a nice sub. It doesn't have to do a lot of work if your RF7's have good watts pushing them. After 2 or more years of playing with adjustments, I settled on crossover around 50, and my RF7.s on Large for stereo, and Normal for Cinema. The RF'7's can handle down to 34, and I think the II's are rated to 32. The Sub12 handles the rest down to 27/24. My settings make the transition seamless in my room. I can't tell the sub 12 is on, except when it is off. Does that make sense? I also have it isolated from my floor on a marble slab.
