just picked up a pair of crites type B from forum member HPower.

this is the first time doing any speaker update/mod...

so i am looking for user friendly guides/tips on how to get through this....illustrations would be a PLUS

but most importantly, any warnings/precautions to take so i don't permanently damaged my speakers...

thanks!

Not sure what you are looking for here, the crossover transplant is straight forward. Remove the screws from the back pannel remove the back pannel, disconnect crossover wiring, be mindful of polarities + is marked by the red stripe. Install new crossovers and reassemble.

While you are in there it is a good idea to snug all of the screws on the drivers.

If your mid drivers are K-55 (V,X or M) then you have the right B crossover.

There was a rare K-56 (I think it was K56...) that was used with the B2 crossover in the first incarnation of the Cornwall 1.5.

If I had a K-56 I would replace it with a K-55 and stick with the correct B crossover.

Lastly, there was the full Cornwall 1.5 with the K-52K mid (or K-57) that went with the B3 Crossover.

I own a pair of full Corn 1.5's like that and LOVE the sound of them but The B3 ONLY goes with the K52K or K57.
