tom518ny
I have had my 1979 Scalas for a few weeks now, and I love 'em---no updates yet--don't feel the need for any so far. Could someone tell me how the woofer works? Does it fire into the "V" and then out the space in the back? Its a bit of a mystery to me. Thanks. Guest " "
woofer face the rear, sound is forced thru a vertical slot, sound hits a vertical V divider, splits in half and a horizontal turn occurs to the left and to the right. sound continues but now a vertical expansion occurs until the next turn. Sound hits a 90 degree corner and turns with it. The next section is straight. This straight section was not a sound design, it was simply added so that the woofer could fit inside what we call the dog house, else the magnets would hit the doghouse walls. sound now passes the shtraight section and now expands horizontally until exit.
