dblue
Now that I have decided on where to hang the RS3's, I have another problem. I found that there is no stud where I want to hang them, and hanging them on the nearest stud will impact the sound. I don't feel comfortable hanging a 12 pound speaker on drywall, even with a toggle bolt. Any suggestions? ------------------ "May your mind be like water and mold to many things." -Bruce Lee

dougdrake
The toggle bolt will work fine, but if you're too uncomfortable with that, you could always cut a piece of wood (say 1x10) 18" long and bolt it into the studs then put the screws into that for hanging the speaker on. Paint the wood to match the wall. Doug ------------------ My System
skonopa
I had no trouble just using drywall anchors. They worked just fine hanging my RS-3s. ------------------ Steven Konopa Fredericksburg, VA Another proud member of the "Klipsch Klub". Jim Cornell
Pull the speakers out of the box and mount them in the wall! No that was a joke, do the board thing between the 2 studs, and youll be fine mine was the same way i had to put 3 holes in the box because it was at the very end of the wall sticking out, so i had to anchor it, now ive moved them back to the rear wall, and have the 3 screws in one, SUX LOL oh well! ShapeShifter
Toggle bolts worked fine for me too. Just don't allow the Keebler Elves to sit on them! Wes ------------------ "KLIPSCH IS MUSIC"f>
dblue
Looks like the toggle bolt is a winner. I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for the advice. ------------------ "May your mind be like water and mold to many things." -Bruce Lee
