psg Posted May 16, 2011 Share Posted May 16, 2011 If the DTS-10 kit is not available, I'd look into a DIYtapped horn designor a folded horn design such as the Tuba HT. I have one and its bass is indistinguishable from Klipschorns in sound character (which I now cross over at 60 Hz!). I couldn't say that with an older Hsu sub I had. At this point I honestly can't say which I prefer, my K-horns or the La Scalas with the tuba sub. It built my sub like a tank out of 3/4 inch Baltic birch and it still only cost me $400 in materials.
