sok454
I found some RF-52's local on craigslist for 400 obo and wondered what people thought of them. i'd listened to other Klipsch at the local shop and liked how they sounded. Look like they are good shape. thought about offering 300 and running. There is also a pair of RF-25's for 350, a pair of Heresy II's for 450, a pair of Legend 10" speakers for 600 as well. What would you guys do?
T.H.E. Droid
All the RF's will have a similar sound, they just go up in bass and overall SPL ability with the higher series numbers. 400 for RF52's doesn't seem unreasonable if they are in good shape. Ironsave
I'd offer $300 for the Heresy IIs and hopefully be running. It really depends if you prefer Reference versus Heritage sound. They are both Klipsch; but definitely each is different. Good Luck!
BigCliff
If it were me I would work on getting a deal on the Heresy IIs. Great 3 way sound, get a good sub to go with them down the road and you are all set.
sok454
How do they work for home theatre though?
Ironsave
How do they work for home theatre though? Do you live near Chicago? You are welcome to come by for a listen........ (They are as efficient as many/ most of the Klipsch lineup at around 94-96db; they can get really loud).
willland
Sok454, Welcome to the forum. Between the RF-52's and the RF-25's at prices they are listed and based on similar condition, I would choose the RF-25's for $350.00 OBO. Each of the 25's have a pair of 6.5 inch woofers as opposed to the 5.25 inchers on the RF-52's. The larger woofers will give you more impact and presence. If you are considering a pure 2-channel rig, offer 350.00 for the HII's. Bill
